Hi Everybody!
I know I'm thinking way in advance, we are building next year and have decided to do the flooring ourselves after the build. We have gone with the tiled floor option that you would see in many display homes, but lately I have been considering polished concrete floors.
Considering the maintenance factor, and overall look, could this be better than porcelain tile?
Hubby is dead against it because of the coldness and overall sterile look, but you can add colour to warm it up a little? add a rug maybe?
I have heard of something called 'Hiperfloor' technology which a process of grinding and polishing that is virtually maintenance free. Would probable cost a fortune but maybe worth it in the long run. Has anyone got polished floors? How much would it be Per Sqm and what are your thoughts on the maintenance side?
I don't see this type of flooring in display homes in Melbourne, but have seen some pictures on line and look quite good!
