Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Nov 24, 2009 11:20 am I have been suggested by the builder that rugged look office type carpet is better for people with asian ancestory, as this carpet doesnt absorb all the spices and herbs while cooking. They also suggest plush carpet is costly and is not easy to clean. Can someone suggest that having a rugged look office type carpet looks good in houses?? Also having different colours of tiles and different colour of carpets in different rooms, does it look good? Re: Plush carpet or the officetype carpet 2Nov 24, 2009 12:31 pm Hi amy, I personally dont like office type carpet at home... as long as you have your range hood while cooking and if you really need keep a door or window open and cook..i dont think it will absorb spices smell.
