Its my bedrooms and my living room, don't want the walkways showing up too much, so what's the best style to go with?? They are often oversold, and although they can be great carpets, they don't necessarily perform as well as the sales blurb you will hear. If you go for SDN carpets, make sure the carpet specs say it is treated with a stain blocker/stain release finish. This helps the stain resistance. There are all sorts of styles. Cut, loop, sculpted cut & loop, sisal style etc, etc... They will perform better if they have some features that breaks up the appearance. Things like patterns in the texture make them much more forgiving. Avoid very plain, uniform or linear designs if you can.
