How much is underfloor heating?

Does anyone know how much underfloor heating will set us back (we are building new)? In sqm would be helpful.

I'd love to put underfloor heating in the bathrooms for winter - we had it in the UK and it heats the room just enough to make it cosy, without being hot.
FWIW, our ensuite was about $800.00 via the builder and is about 6 sq metres. I can find exact figures if req'd, but this gives a "ballpark" estimate.

Cheers

under tile or in slab ?
Hi Mummabubba

We just installed Under Tile Heating after we discovered that in slab heating would become to expensive. We installed it in our Ensuite and Bathroom ourselves.

For the system itself (Coldbuster) we payed about $980 for 7M2. Also $280 for the sparky to connect it, $40 for Bond Crete to preper the concrete floor (helps the adhesive of the system).
Furthermore we spent $40 for 25 kg of Amber Flex to level the floor after installlation and to protect the fragile wires (request of the tiler).
After all that our tiler asked $250 to use a special rubbery adhesive to lay the tiles.
So all in all: $1590 (291/m2)

Mind you, the sparky does not do anything in regard to the wire to the thermostat. You have to bring that up in the wall yourself before the plasterboard goes up!

we have about 80m^2 of tiled floor in our new house, and want to warm them up.. any ideas how much this would cost?
Try www.comfortheat.com.au

I got 2 DIY kits to do my bathroom and ensuite, worked out to be $110 sq/m, installing it and doing the electrical myself.
