Just got a call from the floor guy giving us warning that the colour is much darker then the sample we picked! He said there is nothing you can do about it, but it just depends on the time of year etc when they cut the wood. Is this right?? They never gave us any warning it could turn out a different colour! Unfortunately wood is natural so no tree is going to look the same regardless whether it is the same species or not. It's similar to brick colours people have had trouble with...the samples and display home bricks are different despite them choosing the same type of brick and you would think the bricks would be the exact colour. It's a shame what you thought you were ordering has turned out different to what you expected. Have you looked at the timber?
