Firstly, has anyone attempted to remove it? Hopefully no. Assuming noone has, use a blunt scraper, spatula or similar to scrape up the substance. Get under it, and scrape up onto some paper towel. Work fromthe outside towards centre, and remove as much as you can. Next, get some absorbent cotton towel (a nappy is ideal) and some solvent such as white spirits or turpentine. DO NOT apply the solvent directly to the carpet. Fold the nappy into a folded pad, with a few layers together. Apply a little solvent to the nappy, so its damp but not running. Apply this to the lipstick, working from the outside towards the centre. The solvent will dissolve the lipstick and it will wick up into the nappy. Keep working with fresh sections of nappy, until you have removed it all. As you work, be sure to keep just enough solvent to keep working, but avoid it running into the carpet. It doesn't need much. If it get a bit too wet and spreads, use a dry section of nappy to blot. NOTES: DO NOT RUB OR SCRUB. Gently blot and roll the folded nappy across stain. Don't apply much pressure. VENTILATION: Maintain good ventilation when working with solvents. Avoid breathing, and take a break if it takes more then a few minutes. Let me know if any probs. Ash.
