I'm in the process of getting my floors done, and the floor layer has shown me how uneven my slab is. I'm trying to find out the standard/tolerances so I can go back to the builder and get them to pay for the levelling. It's just one thing after the other ... I can quote the standard for sub-floor level requirements beneath carpets, which is going to be less critical than the floor beneath a polished porcelain floor. The tolerances will depend on what floor is being installed. Ash. Re: Slab not flat 3Aug 29, 2009 8:07 pm From memory it's about 95%, i.e a 5% tolerance in a 1m2 area. if it is then the slab shouldn't vary more than 5mm(5%)(100mm thick slab) in height in a 1m2 area I would check that though with the appropriate standard. A friend had a similar issue but with a sloping slab many moons ago, which is why i remember that figure. The overall deviation of floor level to entire building footprint shall not exceed 20mm."
