Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Apr 22, 2007 7:36 pm Does anyone on here know the best places in perth price wise to get laminate boards from. We just want to know what we are looking at cost wise.
Also can we put the laminate boards over the top of the lanilate/lino that will be laid? or do we have to pull it up Re: DIY boards 2Apr 22, 2007 10:38 pm cant help with the first question, but i think its ok to lay over existing lino as long as its relatively level and you've removed any joining strips.
we have done it with both the quickstep timber and ceramic tile look, and havnt had any problems. the guy at carpet court also said it was ok to do Re: DIY boards 3Apr 23, 2007 1:04 am Hi,
Jim Regan has been in floorcovering retails for a few decades or so. He has sold off his carpet stores and now is a freelance floorcovering supplier. He runs a 'come-to-you' personalised service, and is an easy going guy without high-pressure sales. Jim is tooled up and actually lays floating floors himself over the last few years, so is a good person to deal with. I have seen some of his floating timber floors and they looked very nice. Jim trades as 'At Home Flooring' and his numbers are 9403 5707 and 0411540143. Cheers! Ash. depending on the severity, it could be an installation issue. I'm sure somone knowledgeable will come along and give the detail.
