Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Apr 23, 2009 11:56 pm Hi, I am trying to make my mind up as to which tile to use in my house square or rectangular??? Most of the house shall be tiled. Would appreciate any advice that people have. I do have large square ones in my wet areas, but the corridoor/rooms leading to those areas will be carpeted. Thanks, as I have tried a search but nothing came up that was relevant. Re: Square or rectangle floor tiles??? 2Apr 24, 2009 6:51 am hi Tillie, I think either rectangular or square are great. I have 300x600 rectangular ones in my wet areas, but I think if the square ones are big enough (450x450 or even better 600x600) they can look equally as nice. I think VJ has 600x600 square ones in her home and they are absolutely beautiful. So maybe see which has the better colour? Or do you have the same colour available in different sizes? Re: Square or rectangle floor tiles??? 3Apr 24, 2009 1:58 pm I love large rectangle tiles for living areas. They look very "spesh" to me! However I'm sure the size I like 600x1200 are way too many $$$$ for our budget! I was just wanting some advice as it is a hard decision to make, well for me anyways I will be sure to get some pics and then post them on here and get opinions Re: Square or rectangle floor tiles??? 5Apr 25, 2009 8:31 am May I ask whether there is a significant laying cost difference for installing 450 x 450 tile compare with 300 x 600 tile? Re: Square or rectangle floor tiles??? 6Apr 27, 2009 12:21 am No too sure on the price difference but am heading there tomorrow as I went on Anzac day, silly me Will post the answer on here Depends...
