Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering Re: Carpet quantity 2Apr 16, 2009 11:43 pm I can't remember if this is right Judie but do you multiply the 51 by 3.66 to get the sqm amount? Happy at Home Re: Carpet quantity 3Apr 17, 2009 4:32 pm That's quite a lot of carpet. Rolls are typically 3.66 metres wide although some now come in 4 metre wide rolls. But yes the calculation is roughly 51 broardloom metres times 3.66 metres in the width of the roll times the $65.00 is $12,132.90 plus a bit for wastage to avoid too many little bits being joined in if the rooms are wider than 3.66 metres. Are you sure they are not measuring in square metres? 51 square metres would be 3 average bedrooms, and a bit more. cheers Col Nation For information on caring for wool and other carpet and upholstery go to www.woolsafe.com.au Re: Carpet quantity 4Apr 17, 2009 5:25 pm gee our house is large and I'm sure ours is only 44 or 45 sq m for bedrooms, office and lounge.
