I was so impatient to move in to my newly renovated house that I STUPIDLY scratched the floor while moving the sofa to it's new location. Yes, I am an idiot. It is blackbutt that has had a polyurethane finish (I think, does that make sense?) and the scratch is very long. What should I buy to remove it - polish? Wax? No help here, sorry to say. But I would definitely call the floor people - you won't be the first call they would ever have had to do the same thing. Accidents happen. A scratch in the poly is a scratch in the poly. As said, I'd give the guys who did it a call, they may be able to help with some sort of touch-up advice.
