I've got a silly question regarding bamboo flooring. Can you tell if it's vertical, horizontal or strandwoven bamboo just by looking at it? Apart from talking to the builder, is there any test or features to differentiate between the three? Thanks in advance! Strand woven which is what we are having is sort of grainy, the vertical has lines through it, and the horizontal you can see the knots of the bamboo. Not the best explanation I know. Strand woven is meant to be much harder than the other two. Go down to some flooring shops as well and they'll be able to show you some samples.
