Re: carpet vs tiles 2Feb 16, 2009 6:55 am If you stick to the standard included tiles, it should still be around $30 per metre cheaper. When we had our $22/sqm tiles deleted off our tender, the amount we were credited worked out to be in the range of $48/sqm.
What you have to ask yourself is will you be happy with the incuded tiles? Normally they're not very nice at all. Included carpet tends to be nice enough. cococrunch, just a suggestion, I'd tile the passage between bed 2 and bed 3 as well. It encompasses wet areas (bathroom, laundry) and will be a high traffic area and the carpet will wear out very quickly. I'd also tile the front entry way if you aren't already.
