Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jan 31, 2009 1:36 pm We will be installing jarrah skirting to our living area over the floor tiles. It is a double brick home, so skirting is not supplied by the builder.
The area is approx. 30 metres and we've priced it at around $400 to do ourselves. Unfortunately neither of us are very successful DIYers! Has anyone else paid for someone to install skirting? Who do you get to do it... a carpenter? Matrix Re: Cost to install skirting boards 2Feb 01, 2009 7:07 pm Yes any half decent carpenter will do it - expect to pay $30-$40 per hour. Building Standards; Getting It Right! Is this acceptable in a new house build. Floors where installed by builder.
