Can you tell us a little more about it please? What is it? What does it look like? Impression.
Which would be a thin layer of a photo finish on the tongue and groove board. Sorry, I wouldn’t go there, not unless it had a really good and long warranty. Why would you want a photo of a floor on your floor? Re: Harvey Norman Flooring (Hi Tech Print Technology) 8Dec 20, 2008 1:39 pm Greg go check out Quickstep, pretty much the same thing but has been around for quite a while. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Harvey Norman Flooring (Hi Tech Print Technology) 9Dec 20, 2008 7:55 pm I have done a fair bit of research into this product and similar gloss laminates as they have started becoming a lot more popular in the last 12 months. We are seriously considering using it in our new house. Generally the warranty is in excess of 20 years and once its down there isnt any repolishing, timber care needed as it is a laminate. It all depends on the one you choose though, because some can look very much like 'photo' and repetitive patterns, but I have found some to be quite good.
This particular product is made by a group called Armstrong. I believe Harvey Norman rebadge it as 'Timber Impressions.' We found a guy on ebay who does the exact same product for $49 a sqm. There is a another product range made by Armstrong in the gloss laminate called Forest Select, although I think the pattens seem more like it is computer generated, repeating patterns etc. Dandy Carpet Choice (Vic) actually have it down on the floor in 3 colours. I am pretty close to using this and it should be down in 6 weeks if I decide to go ahead, I will post some photos. Re: Harvey Norman Flooring (Hi Tech Print Technology) 12Dec 22, 2008 5:17 pm Quickstep is found in all Carpet Court stores.
Sorry adame, I haven’t worked in the flooring industry for quite a few years, not sure about the price. Ring your closest Carpet Court store and ask. Did you finally go for the timber impressions ? we also liked the product a lot and are thinking of going for it too. Did you find anyone who can lay it for a good price? Also on a quick note, the Harvey guy said that one can literally mop the floor and water spillage is not an issue. But whn i read on website no whr did it mention abt being 'water resistant'? Nonie Re: Harvey Norman Flooring (Hi Tech Print Technology) 15Dec 31, 2008 8:37 am We have looked into quick step and got a quote for $60 sqm laid from our local carpet court.
Mez Re: Harvey Norman Flooring (Hi Tech Print Technology) 16Dec 31, 2008 9:07 am I also have been looking around for flooring. Here in Adelaide, "Timberline Collection" is available from Discount City Carpets. Ticket price is $70/sq mtr but negotiable (approx $85 per sqm laid?). This laminate is rated at AC5 (wear resistance approx two times better than AC3. Most laminates in the market are rated at AC3). Three patterns/colours available, but they're either of the "wrong" colour or have too many grain lines (very busy looking).
Chris Re: Harvey Norman Flooring (Hi Tech Print Technology) 17Jan 03, 2009 12:49 am How does the laminate flooring react to kitchen wear and tear especially water?
How good is quick step /Harvey timber impressions water resistance ? Re: Harvey Norman Flooring (Hi Tech Print Technology) 18Jan 03, 2009 8:40 am nonie How does the laminate flooring react to kitchen wear and tear especially water? How good is quick step /Harvey timber impressions water resistance ? NONE of them are water resistant…..and I don’t care what the rep will tell you! I went to a friends yesterday, who works for Carpet Court, and she has a new Quickstep down in her kitchen and lounge area, love it looks fantastic. I might have to get some, it’s a washed out look, sort of aged. Now if people who sell the stuff use it, then it must be good!
