We are just about too start a complete renovation of our kicthen and dining room. First step is getting a builder to knock out the wall between them. My concern is the flooring. Currently both rooms are polished pine floor boards, but they are different size floorboards and the run perpendicular to each other as well. The floor height is exact in each room though. We are unsure as to whether we should try and stain and polish the existing floorboards, rip one of the rooms up and run them to match the other room, ot just put down some cement sheeting and tile the whole lot!!
