The carpet i have in the lounge isn't very thick, it is on the same level/elevation as the adjoining tiles in the hallway (image attached). My worry is that if i remove the carpet and replace it with the thicker timber floor, it will not align with the adjoining tiles in the hallway. Is this due to the carpet underlay being thicker/larger than a typical floorboard underlay or would the timber floor really be at an elevated/higher level if i try to replace the carpet with it? I've attached an image which might help explain this. Thank you Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7258 2 8320 Yes, get a builder, make sure he is experienced and a registered building practitioner 5 8952 |
