Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jan 24, 2021 7:48 am Planning to use hybrid flooring for my house. I've read instructions of hybrid flooring and they do not recommended float directly over timber flooring; this I'll be laying hardboard on timber flooring before laying hybrid planks. however, the kitchen floor is on tiles, while the rest on timber. without hardboard, there's a drop of around 5mm between timber flooring and tiles. if added hardboard on timber, it would be near 10mm. what should I add overlay to the tiles to make an even "subfloor" for the same hybrid planks across these floor?
