Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Oct 02, 2020 1:21 pm Hi guys. Iām currently in the process of installing Hybrid floorboards through our kitchen and lounge room. Unfortunately, there is a height difference between both rooms and the lounge room needs to be raised approx: 20mm. The plan is to drop some yellow tongue StructaFlor onto the concrete slab and put the hybrid floating floorboards over the top. From what I have researched so far, I need to do the following: 1. Seal concrete slab. 2. Use a construction grade adhesive to glue the yellow tongue to the concrete. I was thinking a trowelable adhesive would work best? Am I on the right track? Can anyone recommend a moisture barrier paint and construction grade adhesive for this type of work? Thanks in advance. The area is 6m x 6m and raising it 20mm, I thought yellow tongue would be easier and more cost effective. I will look into sand cement mix.
