A novice question on self leveling compound... planning to put down laminate flooring for the kitchen, which has some pot holes from stripping the floor (see pic below). I assume I need to self level the floor before laying down the laminate floor. The rest of the house's floor is fine, so no self leveling needed. The slight issue is the kitchen floor is linked to the rest of the house, can I just self level the kitchen floor and somehow achieve a gradual transition to the rest of the floors such that it's almost flat and good for laminate flooring? perhaps a bit of sanding at the 'joint'?
