It’s 100% wool but has a heavy duty rating of 6 in residential homes so should be hard wearing, but I have picked up a sample which looks to have pilled a fair bit already. Does the pilling settle down with vacuuming? How long does this take to settle down. Are you happy with it in general? Re: Cavalier Bremworth Samurai Range Pilling 2Jan 05, 2020 5:06 pm Hi Reno We've got CB samurai in all our bedrooms. Like all wool carpets it sheds a bit but it's nothing excessive. We've had it down for a bit over 6 months and love the carpet. It's soft underfoot (get a premium underlay) and will wear very well. We've had friends stay with us that remarked how nice it was. We use a Dyson V11 stick vac it handles the carpet and any shedding with ease. We love the look and feel. It's not a cheap carpet but absolutely worth it. Of all the carpets we have seen this is our favourite, so glad to hear you like it and you get positive comments on it. Thanks for the quick reply! We have the Cavalier Samurai carpets and we have excessive pilling in all moderate to higher foot traffic areas. We have had Cavalier in previous home and we we really happy with them as after 10 years they still looked great. Would be interested to hear if any other Samurai owners have experience similar issue Re: Cavalier Bremworth Samurai Range Pilling 5Sep 26, 2020 8:35 am Reno22 Has anyone installed Cavalier Bremworth’s Samurai range in their home? Does the pilling settle down with vacuuming? How long does this take to settle down. Are you happy with it in general? I had Samurai Kaweii laid in 3 bedrooms 14 months ago and I am extremely disappointed with the look of it. It constantly looks fuzzy and half of the pilled fibres don’t seem to vacuum up. I have a Dyson and also ducted vacuuming but neither can remove the stubborn fibres. I recently bought a Bosch barrel vaccuum (recommended by choice) and still have the same fuzzy look after vacuuming. As I am not happy with it and have had it for over 12 months I have made a complaint to my carpet supplier; they are coming out next week to inspect it and take photos so a report can be forwarded to Cavalier Bremworth. I’d be interested to hear if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. |
