Re: FLOORING 71Jun 14, 2009 10:09 pm Hi cmt, What do you think of this one? I saw it on a store showroom floor and liked it very much but unfortunately the colour didn't suit my house. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/9194/house007.jpg I wouldn't mind getting your opinion (and other people's) for the one I am considering atm (see pics below). Still haven't got to handover yet 'about 2 weeks later' so still have time to change my mind lol. Here is a pic taken in the store of the vinyl and carpet along with my colours. http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/6629/house015.jpg Here are pics of same vinyl and carpet in my house. Looks very different in the house due to natural light and the reflected paint colour hey? http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/4740/house002.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/7770/house006.jpg http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/7016/house011.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/2302/house005.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/7295/house012.jpg Unfortunately my camera doesn't do a great job of colour especially indoors. For example the paint colour in some of the photos looks yellowish but it actually has no yellow at all - more of a pinkish grey. I'm a little worried that it is too dark but salesman says (and my family agree) it will look lighter on the larger scale fully installed. Cheers, Craig Re: FLOORING 72Jun 25, 2009 11:01 pm Hi All, I have been watching this board with much interest as I am building a house at the moment and have my heart set on vinyl plank, namely, the Karndean Art Select Winter Oak. Problem is, Canberra stores are quoting $99per sq/m BEFORE being laid and floor prepared...... Harvey Norman have them on sale ATM for $79sq/m and $137sq/m laid. I noticed someone else had a quote for $115 laid on this range and was wondering where you got your quote and if people have had better quotes elsewehere (don't want to get ripped off!!!!) Also wondering if anyone knows what Harvey Norman are like for laying this kind of flooring? Thanks heaps to all!!! V. Re: FLOORING 73Jun 27, 2009 11:53 pm Hi nessbrown, $79 sqm is a fantastic price for Art Select range but the additional $58 to get to $137 sqm laid is ridiculous (did that include slab prep?). Makes me think the product price is to get people in the door then they make it up on the laid rate? Have you considered just buying the vinyl then finding your own layer? Might be riskier doing that though cos if it comes out bad then you just have the supplier blaming layer and vice versa. Can't believe I am still waiting for handover, it's been a month now since I put deposit on my flooring (after SS suggested handover within a week). Still intend to post pics of the vinyl eventually in case it helps anyone to decide on their choices. Rgds, Craig. Re: FLOORING 74Sep 09, 2009 1:32 pm hi, i have just installed rhino flooring in my house and think it is great. it is softer underfoot than tiles or hard wood floors and alot easier to keep clean with 2 little children running around. the only problem im having with it is when i need to mop it. i find i need to stay off it completely untill it dries or it leaves foot prints all over the place. a friend of mine uses a steam mop on hers and i was just wondering if using steam was a good idea or if there was a better way to do it... any help would be great. thanks Re: FLOORING 75Sep 09, 2009 5:29 pm We have just installed Karndean Vinyl PLank in the Van Gough range. We are really happy with the look at feel of it. We are yet to live with it, still staying with mum and dad until painting is complete. You can see photos on page three here. It took us a while to decide as well but I am so pleased we don't have tiles. Floating floor was never an option for us, I just don't really like it. Andrea Re: FLOORING 77Sep 10, 2009 1:56 pm Hi there, Not sure on the width, but they are in the Van Gough range that are all the same width. I can check next time I am at home, or I am sure their website has the info. The colour we have is Lancewood, we love it. I love the variance in colour. Andrea Re: FLOORING 78Mar 22, 2010 10:12 pm Anyone have Quickstep Largo installed? We're considering it in our house and need 200m2+ and want it through the kitchen. How does it perform? Not many images of it anywhere and haven't read any feedback from anyone who has installed it so hoping for someone to give me some advice. ______________________________ http://homewithcoco.blogspot.com/ Re: FLOORING 79Feb 18, 2015 3:31 pm Bumping this thread back up!!
