Hallway timing and either timber or laminate floor boards fo

Has anyone tiled the entrance hallway and either used timber/engineered timber or laminate floor boards for family, dining and kitchen area? Are you happy with your decision and can you share pictures of the transition area for tiles to other flooring please?

This is the transition between tiles and timber in our home.

HI that looks like a very good transition. Did you need to issue any special instructions for that or pick a particular type of tile?
Also you don't seem to have scotia beading which is great.

Thanks. Tiles and timber were chosen for their look/price balance with no thought as to how they would come together. No special instructions were given, but this is a custom build, so the relationship between me as project manager and client, the builder and all his trades has become very close. I was there when we were trying to work out the best way to do it and this was the end result of the discussion. The transition piece is just basic aluminium angle.

Sorry, I don’t know what scotia beading is and when I looked it up on the web, I couldn’t see how it related to the transition between the tiles and the timber.

Sorry, I don’t know what scotia beading is and when I looked it up on the web, I couldn’t see how it related to the transition between the tiles and the timber.

Thanks for the info, ours is a project builder so it can turn out great or not so great. Hence I try to find out as much as I can.
