How do I stop it from moving lol . I did get thi rubber stuff to put under it .i put it at the start and at the end . But because it is so long I think I need to cover more of the bottom of the rug . I have used this underlay stuff to stop moving another rug of mine but it seems to work better. Is there anything else I can use . Ps I hope I haven't confused you . It is a cut pile solution dyed carpet and the sample seeems to show shading and footprints making it look dirty. Is there a similar product that doesnt flatten so much. NB I have 2 cats that love clawing soft surfaces so i have to take that into consideration. Also is there a higher quality product that looks the same as this carpet. I have the funds to put the hardest wearing carpet down and I only want to shift the furniture once in the next 15 years! Good move belladonna99, moving furniture out every few years would be a nightmare! Also, carpet just keeps going up in price its only going to cost more later. Try and stay away from anything soft. You would be looking for a tight low pile twist. The sad thing is, because the softs are so popular all the manufacturers are doing soft now. If you want a carpet to last, go and look at Baltamore, 4mt wide from Allied. Carpet Court sell it, its a heaving wearing carpet that just keeps going. Totaly different to what you are looking at, but a really good carpet. Bleach won't take the colour out of this carpet!! SO, cat vomit will be easy to get out also. Let me know how you get on.... And how does it compare to real timber in terms of maintenance and cost?? Hi vasqla....do you have an understanding on each of the products, one being ceramics the other being timber?? The 2 differences speak for themselves really. Timber will always be dearer than a tile, tiles will always be water resistant.
