Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Nov 11, 2013 12:34 pm I have just had floating engineered floors installed on new concrete last weekend. Upon walking on it once the contractors were finished, I noticed large parts of the floor felt uneven and soft, like stepping on vinyl. You can see the timber moving particularly between the boards but in the middle as well. I have laminate already installed and that seemed hard and solid. In my old house I had engineered floating timber and it did not feel like this either. Is this normal or should I be concerned? The installers started the job with solid timber and could not do it saying the timber was warped so I picked engineered floating instead. Not sure what is going on here whether it is the timber or the installers. B, You and I know each other well outside of the forum, and I really like you.
