We have a large sliding door in our meals area that leads to the alfresco balcony. I've never bothered with window coverings as no one can see in and it keeps the view open to the views.
Being our second winter in the house I have now decided that I need to get some sort of window covering to help insulate the room as it gets really cold.
The door is approximately 3.5m wide. I'm torn between roller blinds or roman blinds. I was considering panel blinds but I've been told they're not as good insulation wise. I would need to have two blinds right next to each other as the door is too wide for a single blind. The door consists of 3 panels so I'm considering having one blind covering two panels and one blind covering one panel.
I'm interesting in seeing what other people have done to cover a large window/sliding door.
