Browse Forums Window Furnishings 1 Jul 18, 2014 3:17 pm We're looking to put plantation shutters in several windows in our house, and have now been offered the Fusion20 type a couple of times. It's basically plastic, but with carbon fibre and an aluminium section inserted through the centre of the blades for strength and rigidity. They are actually offering 20 years warranty, which surprised another sales rep quoting on Basswood. Has anyone had any experience with the Fusion20 product or know anything about it that would help our decision? I think we'll either go with this or the basswood. We say samples of the basswood from that sales rep and it looked like a decent product - real wood blades and solid, split into 2 halves jointed together - supposedly to reduce the impact of thermal differentials between the window side and (air conditioned) room side, though I'm not sure how that's supposed to help. PS has anyone had experience with Rouna Blinds or 1800 Blinds working in Sutherland Shire area? How long have they been around? Any comments or experiences greatly appreciated! Thanks Keith Re: Plantation Shutters - Fusion20 brand any good? 2Sep 25, 2014 7:37 pm Hello Keith. What type of Mcdonald Jones home are you building? We build a Milano 4 home late last year and have a full set of White plantation shutters brand new still in the box in our garage.. we ordered charcoal and they brought white so they replaced them and left the white one's with us as they are custom made for a Mc Jones home.. contact us if your interested at nickandeffie@bigpond.com You can put a roller blind behind the shutters. It will be much less noticeable when not in use. 3 18063 Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 3995 Hello everyone Please advice me how can I install mesh security window or we cab say mesh flyscreen inside while the pvc plantation shutters are already installed?
