Browse Forums Window Furnishings 1 Jul 29, 2013 2:42 pm I need help. I love this look of curtain where it covers up the rod but hands down in big, straight folds. I don't like pinching or pleating! Does anyone know what these curtains are called or who might make/stock some? The first pic seems to be maybe ceiling mounted, I'm not sure, but the end result can look the same. Can these curtains be made with a draw-string also? I think I really like the look but am worried it will just look like a mistake! And the "overlong" curtain l 2Jul 29, 2013 9:06 pm They come under several names including 'S-fold' 'ripple fold'. Yes cord drawn is available. The 'concealed tab' may have a similar look but it is not as functional or aesthetically pleasing. In the right circumstances puddling curtains can look good, but those circumstances are in the minority. Re: What is this curtain type?? And the "overlong" curtain l 3Jul 29, 2013 10:10 pm I love you. Haha. Great answers thanks so much. I gather (no pun intended) that ripple fold is not particularly common in Aus as it doesn't seem to be mentioned on many curtain websites.. ... I'd better do some serious googling. Thanks again. And the "overlong" curtain l 4Jul 29, 2013 10:39 pm It is available in Australia and the choice of tracks (thus finishes) is growing, however as the curtain needs to go with it's particular track, along with lack of adjustability (like tape gathered headings) makes it less suitable as an off the shelf product, which maybe why you are not seeing it on websites Re: What is this curtain type??
