Ok, we have decided that we need to do the blinds properly and are pretty definite that we want double rollers on all of the windows and sliding doors in our new home. This will cost between $5000 and $7000 for the whole house, and is not going to happen in the next 3-6-12 months with all the other expenses of moving and finishing the house. We think the carpet and concreting are more important at this stage... which leaves us with no curtains.
We have to decide - what do we put up in the meantime?
Do we go and buy some blockout material at spotlight/lincraft and just hang it from some 3M removable hooks?
Do we buy some cheap ready-made curtains? (Although our windows seem to be non-standard sizes, and I'm not keen on drilling holes into the architraves when they aren't going to be long term).
It will be for the 2 front windows (both 1800mmx1800mm), the ensuite window (1800x1550) and Emily's room (1800x1550 + 1550x610).
Ideally because it is going to be make-shift I don't want to spend more than $200-ish.
Suggestions please?
