He should be exposed for what he is! Good luck in finding another supplier and I hope you end up very happy! Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 25May 31, 2007 5:51 pm Well I've just had 2 other Co's out to quote and 3 more to come over the next few days. They all agree that I should get him out of the trade as he gives them a bad name.
I'll definitely get my money back one way or another either through CBA on our visa or VCAT. I think this guy forgot I was a prosecutor (albeit a different area of law) and I'll surely delight in taking him to court. LOL So, for everyone BEWARE - of Paul Gilhooly from Madeka Shutters. Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 26Jun 13, 2007 12:22 pm Commonwealth bank have agreed to reverse the transaction for our $1000 deposit which is great.
So unless there is a problem with that I think I'll just leave it at that. While I'm massively p*ssed off with him and would love to drag him though VCAT and inconvenience the crap out of him, I also don't want to waste anymore of my time or energy on him. Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 27Jun 13, 2007 12:45 pm Its a shame that he should be allowed to get away with it but it's a great outcome for you!
Well done! Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 28Jun 13, 2007 9:42 pm dazcla Commonwealth bank have agreed to reverse the transaction for our $1000 deposit which is great. So unless there is a problem with that I think I'll just leave it at that. While I'm massively p*ssed off with him and would love to drag him though VCAT and inconvenience the crap out of him, I also don't want to waste anymore of my time or energy on him. I'd still get the word out how bad he is. Anyone looking to purchase shutters should not go near him. You are lucky he had more then $1000 in his bank account, because otherwise CBA would not have reversed it. Otherwise they have to chase him for it instead. So good karma on your behalf there. Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 29Jun 14, 2007 7:52 pm dazcla...
Below is the email I will send to this company…..if you allow me to!!!! Read and let me know. I still don’t know if I will leave it at this. I have a real bee in my bonnet for so called professionals like this. Madeka Shutters Pty Ltd. To whom it may concern, It has come to my attention and many others for that matter that you should not be in business! I have recently been informed about your very poor service and so call attention to a friend of mine over there. My friend had left a $1000.00 dollar deposit for shutters to her windows, of which you did not follow thru with the desired work scope. She was stood up by your company many times and has been left very upset by the whole experience! Are you in the habit of treating ALL your customers in this way? I think so! You give your trade a very bad name, and we are all trying very hard to do our jobs and make our clients happy by giving them all 100% attention to detail and service. How do you sleep at night? IF you are unable to follow through with your quoted work you should at least have the decency to inform your customers, as they are the ones keeping you in business! Remember what that is? Hope you do…..as yours might not last too much longer! I’m sure the “Interior Design Guild of Australia” would love to add your name to their hit list! Have a good one…..I will now! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 30Jun 16, 2007 1:26 pm Michelle, now that I have my refund, I'm done with him and I'm happy to throw him to the wolves so to speak.
So do what you like with him, list his name on my behalf with your guild and send him the letter. He needs to know what an impact he made and what a huge mistake it has been for his business. Maybe after the reaction he received from me, he will be very careful about how he treats future customers. (If he gets any that is.) Thanks for all the support and advice everyone has given me in relation to this crooked salesman. I appreciate it! Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 31Jun 17, 2007 7:44 pm Have you had any luck in ordering some new shutters through someone else yet dazcla? Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 32Jun 17, 2007 8:52 pm Yeah we got about 5 quotes and in the end due the fact they are big co. and we don't want to get burnt again we are going with "Victory Curtains and Blinds". They are doing some romans and rollers for us too. Re: Madeka Shutters Melbourne - *Update* 34Jun 19, 2007 12:23 pm Thanks sallyho, they are only about $350 more, but have a 5 year warranty instead of 2 years and the peace of mind of knowing that they have a showroom I can walk into anytime if something goes wrong. You can put a roller blind behind the shutters. It will be much less noticeable when not in use. 3 17951 Hello everyone Please advice me how can I install mesh security window or we cab say mesh flyscreen inside while the pvc plantation shutters are already installed?
