It was on my shortlist before I saw it against my oak table. Great colour but I think it looks better against a darker timber like yours Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: What colour macrosuede for dining chairs ? 4Aug 20, 2010 8:29 pm Hi Southies… love the eggplant. It will go perfect with your tiles. But you then need a white or off white table runner with some lime green candles on the table. Not quite as purple as Eggplant. For a neutral, I'd go with Pumice. For a green, I'd go with Khaki. Sorry. Probably not much help! Judie Re: What colour macrosuede for dining chairs ? 7Aug 21, 2010 8:24 am Hi Judie.......thanks Funny you should say that but cabernet was also on my shortist THese were the original colours on my 'possible list' - just going on the m/suede web page : eggplant cabernet port mushroom stone olive holly When I received the fabric samples & saw them against my oak table, I decided against : cabernet port mushroom stone holly That left me with eggplant & olive . I love the WOW factor - eggplant - but I know that a wow effect gets tiresome after a while. I wonder whether I can live with it for years to come but I adore it Olive is a 'safe' colour & will always go well with timber. What to do? The scatter cushions across the way in the lounge room are olive-y or instead of candles something else ? ( I'm not really a candle girl) Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: What colour macrosuede for dining chairs ? 10Aug 21, 2010 3:27 pm I'm still at the same place I started Jo (typical ) eggplant or olive .... eggplant or olive ...... eggplant or olive I adore eggplant Mish Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ or olive, which looks soooo good with timber Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ bugger, do I have to be soooo indecisive Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: What colour macrosuede for dining chairs ? 11Aug 21, 2010 3:36 pm Southies... I'd take olive. You've said it yourself - looks soooo good with timber, plus I know that you are looking for a few green touches. This way you kill 2 birds ... This olive is pretty much perfect for that colur of timber. I know, the eggplant is just gorgeous, but I wouldn't use it with that timber, even as a table topper.
