Purchasing block when it is for sale as House & Land.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone can help at all.


We were looking at buying a block of land in a new housing estate in the Adelaide Hills. In the time that we have been organising our finance to purchase the block it has changed from being for sale as just the block of land to now being available as a House & Land package.

We are wondering if it is normally possible to purchase this as just the block of land still or if the developer has to sell as house & land only now? Only asking because the house plan for the H&L package is awful for the block so we wouldn't even bother trying to go down that path.
