Browse Forums Buying Land 1 Apr 16, 2021 6:12 pm Hey, has anyone had any troubles with building on dispersive soil ? We have a block pending a few things . The whole subdevision is the same soil so it wouldnt of been allowed if we couldnt build. It says in the regs to use a raised floor plan on posts rather than excavate and concrete slab. Our land runs down aboit 1 m see pic attached Would i have dramas with the council wanting to excavate down 1 m and essentially making it flat. We would have engineering approval with how this has to be done. But have heard the council will jusy say why cant u use posts instead of slab.
