Browse Forums Buying Land 1 Jun 10, 2016 10:29 pm Land registration. Is it the same as titles? We have purchased an unregistered and physically completed block on the 2nd stage of a small estate (which has been council approved/compliant). The developer has lodged registration of the land and now we wait. Is this registration giving individual titles to the developer for each block and then at settlement we take possesion?? Trying to get my head around this but i am going in circles lol agh! Please clear this up for me if you are in the know- i beg you lol Re: Land registration/ titles 3Jun 11, 2016 3:19 pm This link indicates the process that a developer will go through: http://anewhouse.com.au/2013/01/subdivision-process/ The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Re: Land registration/ titles 6Jun 15, 2016 9:36 pm Sammy74 Is there a way to track what stage a development is up too? Simonds homes precinct. In Vic there is the SPEAR website. It's a bit of a hassle to navigate if you don't have your subdivision number (PS------- etc.) as the only other way is to look it up under the "responsible party" which is the local council name. The Street Name search section is useless for new subdivisions as the street names aren't gazetted so won't appear there. https://www.spear.land.vic.gov.au/spear ... /Search.do Once you find your stage entry, bookmark that as once the land is finally registered it disappears from SPEAR and won't be seen there again. Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers.
