We've just put a deposit on a block in South Siding today I wonder how many of us are in this forum? which lot you purchase I am on lot219 the lady named Linda, very very very hard to get to her We are 214 Very hard - She must be very busy (I hope). She has rescheduled our contract appointment and I'm really pushing hard to pin her down this week.. My mortgage broker really wants our contract so he can finalise everything so I'm just as eager to get it sorted too. Fingers crossed the next appointment is set in stone. Yeah that's not the best. Feb would be ok but I think if it took longer than that, Id be a bit more upset. I check the available pricelist which Linda gave to me 2 months ago,I can't find lot 214 in the list ,is it mean lot 214 sold early than my block(219)? Re: anyone buying land in officer VIC? 85Jul 21, 2016 9:29 pm I'm not sure? I'm wondering if that means someone had originally put a deposit on it only to have their finance fall through? It was about 2 weeks ago that we put our deposit down on it... Finally signed our contract tonight so it's ours yippee. I asked Linda about the expected title dates and she said to me it should be no later than Feb and she would even suspect - if weather is good - that it could be earlier. I wont hold my breathe though. Apparently the cause of the delays was due to the rain/drenching the soil of the stage they're currently working on (stage 1, I guess) which halted works. We drove down there tonight and saw that there was a fair bit done compared to last week when we went past. Fingers crossed for perfect weather over the next months lol. I don't like simonds because 3 of my friends building with simonds and all of them had bad feedback Re: anyone buying land in officer VIC? 89Jul 22, 2016 5:33 pm That's a shame for them. We've had a few knock down / rebuilds in our current street which have been with Simonds and all went as well as any build could with minimal issues. We will be hiring our own independent building inspector to cover all bases just in case which we were planning on doing regardless of the builder we chose. Can never be too careful huh? Can never be too careful huh? i see, agree with it which floorplan will you building and let me know about your site cost,I will compare with burbank. 14×28 lot,25SQ home, they charge me $8500 for site cost without council requirement Re: anyone buying land in officer VIC? 91Jul 23, 2016 11:09 am Ours is capped at 12k. They said because it's only a 300sqm and a flat block it shouldn't reach that but incase of the unforeseen they put a cap on the costs so we know we won't go more than 12k. Homebuyers centre was around this as a standard cost.. We almost went with them however we didn't get a good feeling from the people we dealt with, Re: anyone buying land in officer VIC? 92Jul 23, 2016 10:39 pm Dont go signing your builders contracts too early incase titling is delayed. Plenty of time.
