Browse Forums Buying Land 1 Apr 21, 2016 6:28 pm Hi im interested in finding land in the south east of Melbourne. Preferably in a new estate in a place such as Narre warren Cranbourne Keysborough. I know that if you call or go down to a estate such as Cranbourne and Keysborough you can get the latest release of that estate. Also surfing the net you'll find lots of land. But it always says contact a agent. As an example ..You'll call up get told the lands good to build on then after you'll find its on a 8mm slope and told nearly all companies don't like to build on more than a 1mm slope. So you could waste your time bothering with that property driving down there or going to that real estate office when the properties n good anyway. I'm wondering is there a site that lists all the suburbs, all the land, with prices and things like suitability of land such as slope. Does a buyers advocate do that? when i searched there sites it says they do things like make sure the price is right for the property and help at auctions ...but i'm talking about buying new land with no house on it. It seems strange that in the year 2016 that a website or service that has something like each location land all the prices of land(without the call us), a honest opinion of suitability of building on the land, future releases, potential future releases isn't out there on the internet. Re: an easier way to find the right land 2Apr 21, 2016 7:52 pm You can check the slope of the land using this website http://services.land.vic.gov.au/maps/interactive.jsp I believe it would only would only work for land that is titled. Enter the address then click on 'build map' Click 'contours 1-5m' Each contour line is equivalent to a 1m drop. When I put my address in there it shows a 10m drop over the length of the block (from front to back) ? We have just signed with fairhaven and they said up to a metre fall over the building envelope is pretty standard. Any more and you'll be up for additional charges. Thanks for the reply. Had a look at the suggested lot and found other problem on easement, which i will asked in separate thread. 2 16611 I'm putting a new floor in my kitchen, slate flagging on a standard concrete slab.
