Particularly interested in the south west areas but generally curious about the entire Sydney area. We saw a 530m2 lot in Potts Hill (inbetween Lidcombe and Bankstown) just go for $663k or $1250/m2 last week. The original owner of my block paid $871.55 / sqm in 2010. Purchasing in 2013 or before, you should be cheering. We bought in August 2014. A couple of similar lots sold for $75k-100k more than what we paid, its only been like 7 months. I'm in Western Sydney, on an 820m2 block. I reckon it will only be a few years and we will see $1m prices for houses west of Blacktown at this rate. We're almost there now. A house in Acacia Gardens sold for $1.05m only a few weeks ago and apparently another one in Stanhope/The Ponds went for $1.5m+ as well.
