Hey kc27. We're looking about 2 months as well before construction. We just got our BAL certificate from the council. We got rated 12.5. Now we are waiting for an assessment from sydney water to check our connections which is costing us $830.

Hi mac+rex,Good to hear on the BAL rating. We had provided for BAl 12.5 in our contract. I have also just engaged the Bush fire consultant to complete the report as part of council requirements. Is this assessment from Sydney water being done thru your builder or external consultant? We havent been told by our builder yet on the Syd water assessment.

The sydney water assessment is being organised by our builder. They didnt give us an option to source this ourselves like they did with the BAL certificate. Btw i found going through the council for the BAL certificate was the cheapest option. It cost us $215 and it took a week for them to provide the cert. Hope this helps.
