Hi All
Currently considering between two blocks. Both have their advantages in different ways.
Block 1 = corner block, outlook across primary road to new park/public open space area. Smaller 360m2 and compulsory two storey build to provide good urban design/passive neighbourhood surveillance over area. Quiet roads within an estate (not main roads or busy established roads). Great northerly aspect (albeit on secondary road, so will need to fence and plants for privacy but that's easy).
Block 2 - much bigger site 525m2, on the start of a culdesac. Northerly aspect out the back so has privacy.
What do people think? I'm a single but thinking about future resale as well as what I can afford/stretch myself to.
Block 1 Corner block for outlook to park and views over area from second storey? Cost more to build because its two storeys, but only two neighbours (one beside and one behind).
Block 2 Bigger block for greater family living/potential for pool perhaps if someone could afford one, quieter, maybe more secure? Has 4 other blocks which effectively share the surrounding boundaries (one each side and two behind). Can be a one storey build so whlist land is dearer by$35k, build could be cheaper? Larger site though - do people still want larger sites for families to use (and maintain!) or do they take advantage of open space nearby?
Interested to know preferences to location and what people think will have greater resale in future.
Thanks!!
