Have a block of land with the side (length) facing towards the north (in an angle).
Now I have read that the true north is different than the solar north and wondered which side will get most sunlight. is it the side facing north, the back or the front?
below the details of the land:
both length sides are 73'28'
front is 163'28
back is 188.47

Solar north is not a term I have heard before - there is true north and magnetic north and they are essentially in the same direction - and this side of the house will receive the most light regardless of what its called.
If you don't have to worry about council setbacks etc (EG you are on acreage) you could position your house to get a few extra minutes of sunlight a day but for me (and I would suggest most) having your living areas facing in the general north direction is going to be the best you can do.
