Like everyone, we're hurrying up and waiting.... I'm not sure what was worse, looking at an empty block wondering when we would start building, knowing it will be ages, or now looking at an empty frame wondering every day what's happening next, and when I can move in!

We're an impatient bunch, aren't we?! :lol:

I get what you mean though, now we've started building I just want to see progress... and quickly! Do you have roof tiles yet?

Our frame was meant to start on Monday but I have no idea if it has started given the rain and winds we have had. Hoping to pop out tomorrow and have a look. Will be bringing gumboots, already wrecked two pairs of shoes stomping through the mud!!

We've got roof tiles, gutters, and even aircon ducts installed. No bricks yet.

Seems to be going great, my site supervisor thinks lock up will be done by the 25th, so that's good.

I haven't been there since sat so i might drive past tonight and have a look. but i dont think there's going to be much of a change, we shall see.

He also said the other Porter Davis jobs waiting on brick layers should all now be starting monday as hes got 5 brick layers up there booked now.

That's great! Have you had any trouble getting hold of him this week? I've had a little, but my other half managed to chat to him today to clear up something with the slab which was good! What brick have you gone with?

nah, but I've only tried to call him today. I've actually gone with Hebel and render instead of brick. I heard there was a shortage on brick layers so I asked who was putting up the hebel. but its a carpenter that installs the hebel.

Oh that's right. What are the advantages of Hebel over Brick?

Have you got your frame invoice yet from PD? I got mine this afternoon!!! But only the wall framing is up and the framing on the roof should be done on the weekend.

Oh yes. We got it on wednesday. They are very efficient getting the payments on time. Are you using colourbond or tiles? We chose colourbond.

Curious to know whether stage 2s know there address yet?

Hi annanna, I emailed Herbert Geer a few weeks ago, but didn't get a response. However, my solicitor forwarded me an email from them yesterday:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I confirm that we act on behalf of Chirnside Park Country Club (Vendor), and understand that you act for a purchaser in relation to the purchase of a Lot in Stage 2 of the Cloverela, Chirnside Park development.

Please find attached an updated plan of subdivision for Stage 2. Please review the plan of subdivision provided in comparison to the plan of subdivision in the Contract of Sale for your client’s lot.

By way of update, the Vendor expects registration of the plan of subdivision in December 2014, with settlement occurring 10 business days after notification is given of registration of the plan of subdivision. We will update all purchaser’s conveyancers of the progress of the registration of the plan of subdivision closer to this time.

Street number allocations are being sought from council and we will aim to provide these to you next week.

so it looks like we will hear 'something' soon.... what road is your block on?

Hey everyone,

I called the local council a couple of months ago to find out what our address in Stage 2 will be. They were able to tell me, we are block 2037 on Sherwood Road and we are number 72. Some of you might be able to figure out yours from that, other wise call the council and they tell you. Fingers crossed for titles this year, would be an awesome christmas present. Only 24 weeks until Christmas

its cheaper to render with hebel

but i think its got a better energy rating too. he also said it will be done rather fast with hebel, just afew days to install it.
