Thanks Sanna Re: Cloverlea Estate - Chirnside Park VIC 703Apr 08, 2014 5:57 pm Hi samba, Up until u told me I wasn't aware my retaining wall wasn't complete.. I havnt notified my conveyancer yet I'm waiting until the 10th to see if it's done and if it's not I'm saying no settlement until it's done.. Which works out great for me I'll update u once I find out if it'll be done by then thanx and yes Sanna would love a photo if u could.. How long does it take them to finish one wall? We will still settle as would rather own dirt with no wall then nothing Check your new plan of sub! Our old one showed a stone wall going along the whole side and the front of our property, the new one only shows it along the side! Yours may have changed! Re: Cloverlea Estate - Chirnside Park VIC 719Apr 08, 2014 8:48 pm That's what hubby just said, the original plans are very different, from the latest! Rochelle should be able to tell you, withlove Your welcome 1090, I'll get some better ones tomorrow, it was very dark today, Re: Cloverlea Estate - Chirnside Park VIC 720Apr 08, 2014 10:31 pm Hi Everyone this is Lot 1063 checking in:) Sanna, were you able to drive in tonight? I was there at 4pm and was asked very politely by the last construction staff person if I could leave as he was about to lock up. When I told him that the gates are meant to be removed or at least left open, he said no such thing. I asked him (very politely) to check and he got on the phone, and after a few minutes told me that yes, they have to be locked up due to the requirements of the current Council permit for the construction. He said the gates will not be removed for some time yet, definitely not by Thursday. So i politely thanked him and left, his car was bigger than mine Belindabinz - the gates may be a nice legal loophole for you to get out of paying the $620 late settlement penalty (this as well as your unfinished walls). Our contracts say we are entitled to "Vacant Possession" on settlement, and unless the gates are removed or each of us gets the gate keys we don't really have vacant possession (disclaimer, I'm not a practising lawyer so I can not charge you for my advice) - check with your conveyancer. Withlove, sorry to tell you but our stone retaining walls at the front boundary are all gone. In a way we prefer no walls as we don't really need them there (virtually flat), less things to trip over. If we ever have an urge to admire some rocks, we have a 2m wall on our left, that's plenty enough. Thank you everyone who responded to our earlier posts, much appreciated. We will most likely settle on Thursday, unless our conveyancer advises otherwise (due to gates). Goodnight to everyone, especially to those counting sleeps:) Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers. I tried… 0 6442 I have posted this before: We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing. Thorough reports… 2 4503 |
