Our land is not due to be registered until mid May now but was hoping to have everything ready to start building once it is? Re: Can you submit DA plans before your land is registered? 2Mar 18, 2012 1:15 pm Our builder (Carlisle Homes) submitted our plans to the developer and had them approved about a month ago and we still don't have our titles yet, although they are due in the next few weeks. I think building approval from the council has to wait for titles to be released and settlement done. Hope that helps. At least for us there was a gap between when the land was registered and when we could settle on it (think it's a land title office delay). This of course depends on the willingness of the land developer to play ball, and in our case due to it being eight months late they were accommodating. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
