Browse Forums Buying Land 1 Nov 19, 2012 4:22 pm Hi all, we brought land back in oct last year(at peak prices) in Point Cook vic, We have paid our 10% deposit, we cannot get finance due to very low valuations. We have tried 3 different brokers, we have been pre-approved by all but cannot get anywhere as our land keeps coming in at $40,000 less than what we paid for it and cannot afford to put in another $40000 just to settle the land let alone build a house as well, our lands now titled and we have not settled we have tried everything possible but now face loosing our $30000 and perhaps getting sued the shortfall.
