Finally an element of reality to a process which has largely been something akin to a great big prolonged daydream up to this point... Some people apparently have nothing better to do than comment on other people's sigs. Re: Buying Land Advice 48Jun 28, 2011 9:44 pm We are keeping an eye on the current available blocks through the real estate agents and are just waiting for one to come on the Market that is just right for us. We have been watching one block in particular over the last few weeks. Last week the owners dropped the price by $10k so we are thinking about making an offer in a couple of weeks Building the Drysdale 30 Wallara Waters, Wallan My Blog : http://www.ourwallanhome.blogspot.com My thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=50975 Re: Buying Land Advice 49Jun 28, 2011 9:47 pm Hi Shellbelle! The Primary is a big school, but he really liked it there and he liked having his school friends close by. Lots of parents up here prefer a smaller school and quite a few drive their kids out to Upper Plenty Primary which is quite a small school on the Whittlesea Rd, about a 10 minute drive from Wallan. Private options are Hume Anglican Grammar (I have no idea where that is, but I see the bus ) and Assumption up in Kilmore which also has a school bus that services Wallan. If you have any questions about the schools or the town, I'm happy to answer what I can! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. We just signed our contracts to buy land!!!! We have bought the last block facing the park on Balmain Circuit so happy and excited!!! We had to pay a little more then we intended as it was 18 x 34 but the extra room on the block is awesome so we are pretty over the moon.
