Really happy with everything so far. Does anyone know anything about broadband availability within the estate? Opticomm are in the proccess of installing it at the moment ..should be commisioned in the next couple of weeks Sadly tho we are not getting full service fiber only ph and internet,so dont forget to put the antenae on your roof and your foxtell dish as well The good news is ..We have just moved in ...stage 2 ,,...WOOHOOO Greetings to all casiana people Congrats!!!!! We are still waiting for contracts to be drawn up before submitting them to Bank for formal approval. I really like the look of Casiana Grove and its location so really hoping everything goes to plan for us. At tender we decided to chuck in Fibre Optics pack(2.4K ouch). The pack includes; - Conduit - Earthing of ONT and leadin cables - Double Power point for PSU - Hub Enclosure - 2 No. telephone points - 2no. TV points - under ground run in Does anyone know if that is a good price to pay? Yeh that's what we've paid for the pack. They call ours Smart Living pack but it's the same thing. Although rather seems pointless considering we don't get full service to it. Re: Cranbourne West -Casiana Grove 49Oct 14, 2011 11:46 am squirrel81 investa Hi squirrel81, Thanks for that link. I've already read that before as well. That site seems to have the old info. If you read the link from the one I provided in the following thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51768 It has the new legislation that came into effect as of 8th September. That is where we will be bitten. Before if you were a BAL-LOW area you didnt have to worry about any requirements for buildings. But now anyone in BAL-LOW area basically has to build to BAL12.5 standard. Which means those affect will have to spend around 12K extra to build their house. Heres's a guide to BAL-levels and how much it might cost you to upgrade your home to meet the requirements: http://www.buildingcommission.com.au/resources/documents/guide_to_building_after_bushfires_March10.pdf Well that's just balls Oh well what can you do I suppose would have been nice if we had of been told that but should have probably done some research as well. Have our tender on Wednesday so will find out the damage then. Good luck with your tender!! We only had to pay extra 6.3K for our bush fire requirements which is a lot less then the 12K approx the building commissions recommendations in the guide to building after bushfires pdf. The damage could have been a lot worse... Keep us posted on how you go with yours! Re: Cranbourne West -Casiana Grove 50Oct 16, 2011 1:28 pm If you can justify that the bushfire risk to your house does not warrant ember protection (BAL-12.5), then you can apply to the Building Appeals Board for a modification to the Building Regulations. I would suggest that in the current climate, this will be difficult to justify but not impossible (depending on the bushfire risk of course...). Re: Cranbourne West -Casiana Grove 52Oct 16, 2011 8:10 pm investa Yeti, I saw three slabs down on stage 5 in lemon Grove this weekend. My lot on stage 6 actually backs off one of the slabs. I wonder if its your house haha Hi investa, I went there on the weekend and was surprised how quickly construction started! Titles were released only a few weeks ago!!! I wish they were mine.. I'm waiting for a building permit at the moment.. Hopefully our one starts by end of this month!!!! Re: Cranbourne West -Casiana Grove 55Oct 19, 2011 3:55 pm Just got some promising news from Sokha at the land office in regards to the Fibre that's being installed, there in the process of negotiating with Opticomm to supply not only the internet and phone (that we are all ready getting) but to now supply free to air t.v. signal down the same fibre so you wont need an antennae. she said there was no guarantee, but hey its promising Re: Cranbourne West -Casiana Grove 56Oct 19, 2011 3:58 pm investa I think you may be our literal neighbour. We just went today and there's a house with a frame thats at the back of us to the left (or right depending on which way you look at it). Re: Cranbourne West -Casiana Grove 57Oct 19, 2011 10:34 pm Nice update the fox!! Looks like developer are working on the park and walkways as well. squirrel81 maybe! I'm 611 on plans... Are we neighbours? Don't answer here if you want to keep it it private. Feel free to send my a private MSG Re: Cranbourne West -Casiana Grove 58Oct 20, 2011 10:06 am We had our Tender presentation yesterday with Carlisle and we were pleastantly surprised to see that it came in well under budget even though we upgraded a few things. Couldn't believe it....I'd prepared myself to have to change some things back to standard but didn't have to do anything which was fabulous. Now waiting on the contract to be done and we're good to go. We also got hit with the fire thing but haven't been given a price as yet. We were told that it would be about $3000 if we needed to have it which isn't too bad.
