Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 284Sep 12, 2012 12:06 pm Fun times in South bank hey! My partner said that there were some young kids around on Friday night as well. They had carried some hard rubbish from up near Overland down into Locomotive and put some chairs on top of one of the port-a-loos. I can't wait to have our fences up (this week), but I think once more people move in things will quieten down as there will be more people to catch them! Hope everyone is safe and sound. And thanks BoostBoy for putting those kids in their place! Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 285Sep 18, 2012 4:36 pm Heya. Just wondering if anyone's getting mail yet? Apparently people have sent us stuff and it's been returned to sender. There's been a few times on the net it says our address doesn't exist...but according to council and the post office it does. Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 287Sep 19, 2012 12:26 pm We are getting mail too... but we did have a couple of cases of things being returned to sender. But that's a great idea about sending a letter to yourself BoostBoy. We had the same thing about the address not existing, but we just had to call to update the address as opposed to doing it online. Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 293Sep 20, 2012 10:52 am Not ours either You might have to do a return to sender (hopefully the envelope is marked with a return address)

Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 295Sep 21, 2012 7:14 pm Wish I could help you Boostboy but we haven't gotten that far Does anyone reckon the builders would mind if I "borrowed" some palletts that are around the place? Or know how much temporary fencing costs? Trying to make a makeshift fence so our dog can stay with us Also, our neighbour on one side hasn't started building yet but think they might retain some of their block so is there any point sorting out fencing yet? Cheers Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 298Sep 22, 2012 7:43 am BoostBoy Hi all, just wondering if you could put me onto the company or person they used for their rainwater harvesting (rainwater tank system), as I can not seem to find to many companies that do this via google. Taylor Made Tanks do this. They're at Para Hills West but they do come out to your house and quote. We enquired with them and they seemed very knowledgeable about rainwater harvesting. In the end, we got our landscaper to do our stormwater and rainwater tank as we decided not to go down the full rainwater harvesting path. Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 299Sep 24, 2012 9:54 am Hey miss_m, we had some pallets from when our paving got done, I think they are still sitting on the block behind us (our fences are up now, so I haven't checked they are still there). But if they are, you are welcome to them! Also BoostBoy, our rain water tank got done by the builder, but it was though Maxiplas. Hope that helps. Re: Building in Southbank, Sheidow Park 300Sep 24, 2012 1:03 pm Cheers Tom and KJ. We might try and grab them tonight. By the sounds of it, I think I can see the back of your house from our house Did everyone do their own fencing...or get a company to do it? Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess. Trying to get some more information from our builder. 9 30235 |
