Browse Forums Buying Land 1 Mar 03, 2009 11:56 am Hi All,
Just want a general idea on how much you paid for your land and for what size and area. Currently it seems land costs for range from 300K plus.. Sounds very overpriced... I'm sure people out here have a decent block with a decent price.. ?? or is that just a dream these days too. Edit: Location NSW. Thx Re: Land. How much did you pay? 3Mar 03, 2009 12:15 pm Come to Hopetoun , Victoria - we paid $12,000 for three adjoining houseblocks - 1 acre.
Great little town in Victoria's Mallee. Building in remote, regional Vic We have roof, frame, walls, plumbing, electrical....but no bricks! Re: Land. How much did you pay? 4Mar 03, 2009 12:17 pm Were looking to pay about half that in Melbourne... under 20km from the CBD Re: Land. How much did you pay? 5Mar 03, 2009 12:25 pm Hard to beat, that, overthebuildingprocess
I thought I was going to win the prize : we paid $38,000 for 707 square metres in Whyalla, country SA. Signed preliminary contract for land 2 years ago as part of house/land package, then took another 8 months for it to title, builder honoured original price, although real estate prices here boomed in that time. As a comparison, vacant blocks across the road from us are now available for packages and are 358 square metres - ie half the size of ours - and are going for 65,000. A vacant block the size of ours would be easily over 100,000 now, especially as a stand alone sale. Re: Land. How much did you pay? 8Mar 03, 2009 12:39 pm $137,500 for 10 acres of gently sloping land at Coominya QLD - 5 minutes from gorgeous Wivenhoe Dam , 45 minutes to work and 1 hr and 15 mins to the Brisbane CBD..

How much did you pay? 11Mar 03, 2009 12:45 pm We are in Victoria and got 1100m2 for $62,000. It's a great block in an estate which will have the golf course at the back of us, a natural land reserve on the other side and only one potential neighbour on the other side, which is great for us. That is a lot, but if you can afford it and it's where you want to be then go for it I reckon!! I'm just jealous cos I would need that to buy in the area where I am currently renting - even though I can borrow a lot more than I am, I just don't want to at the moment. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20413 No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed.
