If you brick up pier to 1.2m it would comply . 2 if the gap between pier and fence is more than 100mm it will need to be closed in . A post in between would suffice even riveting a peice of angle to post would comply . Re: Spa Fence 4Oct 15, 2020 5:38 pm Hi Mickib, If your barrier has o comply with the 2012 version of Australian Standard AS1926.1, then the brick pier contains footholds / handholds within the NCZ 2 (non-climable zone) and the definition of a foothold / handhold is defined in the Standard as an aid to climbing a barrier, therefore it may not comply. Your sleeper is also within the 500mm setback zone under the 2012 version.. Best check with Council exactly what year of the Standard your pool has to comply with.
