Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Sep 24, 2019 1:01 pm G'day, I need to concrete a long vertical cavity in a concrete swimming pool. 1.5 meter height 80-170mm wide and 50-10mm deep. It formed after removing/chisel out wet loose concrete around a heavily leaking crack unsuccessfully patched ages ago. I have no idea what is best for the task to achieve durable strong bond of old concrete to a new one and at the same moment to be suitable to use in swimming pool. After searching internet I consider a few options to do the job. 1. I already purchased 10kg of Quickset Watercrete. It is not enough and I need to buy more and it is quite expensive. Also someone mentioned it is not that strong as GP cement concrete. Also I am not sure about it's adhesive strength to old concrete. 2. To use GP Cement/Washed Sand (1 to 4 ratio), Water and Bondall BondCrete Cement Additive 3. To use GP Cement/Washed Sand (1 to 4 ratio), Water and Crommelin High Performance Bonding Agent 4. Combine either 3 options above with Sika High Strength Epoxy Repair Adhesive Concrete Fix Kit (Sikadur-33) applying on a surface of old concrete. What is a best way to do the job? Thank you in advance. I used Lanko 701 Duragrout Structural Grout (class c, expands in two stages) and Lankolatex 751. Davco representative advised to use Lanko 731 Repair Mortar but I preferred the non-shrink grout. But I can be wrong as I have no experience in concreting In fact it was a structural crack. I got PFC steel channel 150 * 75 sliced to the staples 10mm thick each and stitched the crack with those staples. Time will show if it was a proper way to fix it or not. 701 Duragrout was a bit slumpy even in plastic consistency but it never been supposed to be used on huge vertical cracks. 731 Repair Mortar is non-slump in vertical and overhead work. Last year I had a gas leak at my house. 3 days later, I have about 1 sqm of my exposed aggregate paving broken up. I am not sure how to go about getting it repaired… 0 10617 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi All, Hoping someone might be be to provide some advice on my ceiling that needs repair.
